Cannot duplicate objects blender
WebMar 5, 2024 · I am very new to Blender 2.8. I know that hotkey like G, R and S are essential and very useful but I can't do any of them in object mode. I can only move the origin (the orange thing that for the object) freely. I have a MacBook and use a mouse. I tried looking at transformation locks too but that wasn't the problem. See if the pointer icon is active in the Outliner. There's one or more objects in front of the one you're tying to select. Webgoing into "object, relations, make single user, object and data" works WITHOUT going into edit mode, too. at least in 2.9. i mapped that to my Q menu btw.. it shouldnt be that convoluted, but it is :D welcome to blender! Stipulates not using P to separate selection into new object. Only this answer let me to disconnection, so Mesh -> separate -> selection (or p) works for me, (not split).

But if you still want to duplicate objects like you did before: You'll need to delete the unwanted Materials, all but one and then link that to all the other objects. And how to do that:
