WebMay 29, 2004 · Here's what I still don't understand: is it supposed to be based on 1st or 2nd edition D&D? I've opened the books before, and font and layout of the books definitely evokes 1st edition AD&D. But in this thread, people are saying that you can easily convert 2nd edition monsters for Hackmaster. So is it supposed to be 1st edition or 2nd edition? WebJan 17, 2024 · Mostly, since I was using my own material and HackMaster's AD&D version (aka 4e) or the current edition (aka 5e), I haven't used most of the published adventures from the 3e days. It was just easier to snag some of the images from Imagequest handouts and other bits. From the current edition, definitely Frandor's Keep.

AC = 20 - AD&D AC. So an AC of 5 in AD&D would equal an AC of 15 in 5th edition.
